What is Involved in Incorporating

Creating a corporation first involves filing Articles of Incorporation with the appropriate federal or provincial agency. Once the articles have been filed, the Corporation must then be organized by appointing directors, issuing shares, appointing officers, and adopting corporate bylaws. The Corporation must also obtain a business number and corporate tax account.
